Ohno POV
I shouldn’t bring him there!! I really shouldn’t. Only if I didn’t stubborn enough, maybe it won’t end this way.
They said we’re too late to arrive the hospital that he end up in comatose. I couldn’t help blaming myself for that.
His last few words with me keeps on reappearing in my mind.
“when the time comes, I don’t want you to be there when I’m dying”
“you’re unfair,” I say as I pet his hair. “asking me to leave when I already fall in love with you again. You’re a brat, Kazu. An unfair brat,”
I wipe my tears as I continue speaking.
“you know, Sho-kun is here. He brought me food. But that’s not important though. He brought me something that I’ll remember for the rest of my life,”
I kiss his forehead, before again wiping the tears on my cheeks.
“I miss you, Kazu. I want to repeat all the things, the happiness we have last time. I miss your smile, I wanna see it again,”
I took his hand, holding it close to my chest.
“seeing you like this, it’s killing me, Kazu. What if I follow after you?”
“he won’t want it, Ohno-san, a soft voice from behind startles me. It’s Nino’s mum.
She greets me with a warm smile.
“Ohno-kun, let’s go out for a while,”
“But…”
“it’s ok. he won’t leave you. maybe not yet. Let Sho-kun to stay here for a while ok?”
I didn’t straight away give her an answer. I look at the man lying on the bed before my sight turns to Sho-kun who’s standing behind Nino’s mum. A single nod from the man gives me an encouragement.
I drop a kiss on Nino forehead.
“I won’t be long, Kazu. Wait for me,” and then I leave the room.
Sho POV
As Ohno-kun leave the room, I take my seat near the bed.
Ninomiya Kazunari. The one that I love. Since our schooldays. But he never choose me. no matter what, Ohno was always in his heart. eventhough the man has gives the biggest hurt to him.
I can’t help feeling he’s unfair. He really is. He never gives me the chance to love him, not even once, not even during his heartbreak of the older man doing. His love is pure, so loyal to him.
I took out my phone from my pocket, scrolling the mail that I received from him.
He sent me three mails. It didn’t arrive on the same day he send them. It arrived the day he came back from the island Ohno-san brought him. the day that he fell into comatose. The day that I know he won’t wake up again.
I read the messages one after another.
Sho-chan. he brings me for a date I guess. Though, it won’t be an ideal date as I’m sure I’ll get sick on the boat later. But it has been my dream to be on the boat with him. To understand him more, even for the last time. please pray for me so that everything will went well.
It went well. You’re happy, Kazu
Sho-chan. he’s cooking for me now. I don’t know how it will turn out to be, but the effort he made enough to make me happy. Gomen ne Sho-chan I tell you all this. But I’m afraid if I won’t be able to tell him anything. I’m afraid I won’t have the chance to do it. if, if I didn’t make it, can you tell him all this? So that he stop regretting of all his doing? I forgive him.
Note: you should find someone that can love you. I’m not the right person. I’m so sorry.
But, I only want you.
Sho-chan. I love him. somehow, I feel so shy to tell him that. we’re going for fishing later. Maybe I should tell him that later. Maybe. Sho-chan, you’re my bestfriend. The one who always be there when I’m down or happy. I’m glad I meet you. I love you. but I love him more. I’m so sorry. I hope you’ll find someone who can love you the way you love me now. There surely be one.
I keep reading those messages again and again, not bother to stop crying. I took his hand into mine, kissing it.
“loving you, it’s hurting me kazu,” I kiss him again. “but if that makes you happy, I’m fine,”
