[Ongoing] Maybe Forever - Ohmiya (Chapter 2)
CHAPTER TWO
Ohno knew he was being a jerk, trying to find the one who he had hurt for the sake of his wife wish. He knew he was being selfish by trying to fulfil that one request of her. But how couldn’t he?
He loved her as much as he felt guilty for the things he had done to Nino. If he could, he wouldn’t want to bother the man again. He wanted Nino to have his own happiness by never seeing him again because Nino deserved it. But he knew Nino wouldn’t be that cruel to refuse a dying person request.
Hence, he asked Jun; Nino’s best friend, or that was what Nino has been saying to him. For god only know Jun’s feeling.
He knew Jun knew Nino’s where about. The last night he saw Nino, it was Jun who take Nino in. And he knew too, that it would never be easy trying to find out about Nino from Jun.
He was right. Because the moment he told Jun on his intention to find where Nino was, Jun didn’t bother to hide his anger.
“you treated him like garbage, Ohno! You never even bother to properly apologize to him since that night. You never even bother to ask me, even though you know he was with me. You never even asked if he was fine. You never ever care how hurt he was, broken by whatever happened between the two of you. It pissed me off. What makes you think that i’m gonna help you with this?”
“My wife’s dying, Matsumoto,”
“That doesn’t give you permission to hurt him again!” Jun yelled from the other line.
“I won’t-“
“You’re really stupid, aren’t you?” Jun cut him. “Meeting you will hurt him! Meeting her will double his pain! Why can’t you understand? There’s only a reason why he left and refused to return. Because he don’t want to hurt again. I’m sorry, but not because i love him, Ohno-san. Because I’m human, i decided that it’s best for the two of you to not meet again. I can’t help you. I’m sorry,”
If he wasn’t the reason why Nino had left, Ohno would sure had curse Matsumoto for being such a heartless. But he had to agree with Jun. If he had cause enough pain to Nino, there’s no reason for Jun to believe that he won’t do it again.
Desperate and despair. For once Ohno had lost his hope. He barely remembered how Nino look. As he closed his eyes, his wife face and Nino’s leaving him that night appeared after another. He wanted to give up, but when Miyuki’s pleading voice echoed in his head, he just couldn’t.
And all of sudden, a thought appeared in his mind.
“There’s only a reason why he left and refused to return.”
Nino left for USA and refused to return. The idea echoed in his mind.
As the idea convinces him enough, he decided. It wasn’t a good decision considering his wife current condition. But for her sake, Ohno decided it’s better to go for it.

Once again, it wasn’t easy.
Finding Nino in a big city as New York is like trying to find a needle in a field. It wasn’t even two hours when he realized he was lost. Even worst, he was surrounded by a few men, wanting him to give them whatever he had in hands.
But doing it will cost him everything. He tried to run away but failed. Instead, he was pushed to the ground, beaten hard all over his body.
But before he could wish, everything stopped. His ears caught the sound of footsteps running away from the scene before another approaching him.
“Are you ok?” The policeman asked, and he just replied with a nod.
Before he could answer with a proper word, his eyes caught a cold gaze towards him.
“It’s your lucky day, Man. If this man didn’t came to us, we don’t know how much damage would it caused to you,”
Ohno’s eyes locked on the said man. No words needed. He founded him.
The man was about to leave the scene when Ohno called him.
“Nino-“
The man stopped. All Ohno could see was anger and annoyance from the man’s eyes.

Omg great chapter!! Dont guve up dear..I need to know why his wife wants to see Nino..

Cause I dearly love my bestfriend and like Jun this is just common sense.
While the woman would be able to get them together, still, hurt is hurt.
I rather think there isn't even a speck of loving Nino anymore there. Just an annoyed and furious Nino. And Ohno just need to make him fall in love with him later if Ohno come to love him.
It's still a good fic. Why do you think that though Ica-san, any particular reason?
