[Ongoing] Maybe Forever - Ohmiya (Chapter 12)

Maybe Forever | Ongoing | Chapter 12 | Angst. Drama | PG-15 | beta by : [livejournal.com profile] asdfghjklalala (thank you ^.^)
Disclaimer: nope. I don't own Ohno or Nino or Jun or Arashi. they belongs to themselves. no profit taken from this, except for some stress reliever.

CHAPTER 12.

Ohno knew he made a mistake.

He was being such a jerk when Nino started to believe in love again. He was the reason to the man’s sadness. No more smiles on the man’s lips and Ohno could see how the man was dying inside. His stare was empty. Nino didn’t even laugh when he teased him.

But was it too much for him to beg for a chance?

He exactly knew what Miyuki was trying to do by sending them for a holiday last time. He wanted Ohno to love Nino. To make it work for something that never existed before, she succeeded. When the incident on the boat happened, that was when Ohno realized how important Nino was to him. Ever since that day too, he was afraid to lose Nino. That was the reason why he made that promise. It wasn’t an empty promise, but he knew Nino took it as one.

Watching Nino distancing himself from him, Ohno felt nothing but hopeless. He tried to approach the man, try to give as many happiness he thought the man needed. He knew he failed when sorrow was written on the man’s face and it’s getting worst day by day. Taking the progress into his judgement, he knew Nino’s going to leave him soon.

But he didn’t expect it to be now.

It has been a month since Jun left. Just when he thought that Nino won’t leave him anymore, he was wrong.

He was in the kitchen when he heard the sound of the footsteps from the stairs direction. He saw how thin Nino was, face pale not to mention how unhappy the man looked. There’s a weak smile on the man’s tired face and that was when Ohno started to notice the bags at the man side.

No, his mind screaming. Nino’s leaving, the fact echoed inside his head and he didn’t like it. He hated it so much that his anger started to build inside him.

“What is this?” he hissed, eyes locked onto the man. But Nino didn’t show any effect. Slowly, he put down his bag, acting all calm, yet annoyance was shown somewhere in his expression.

“You are fine now.” Nino replied. “It’s best for me-“

“To leave?” Ohno snapped. “Where to?”

“None of your business.” Nino retorted.

“I won’t allow you.” Ohno walked approaching him. His voice dangerously low and Nino could sense the threat in the way Ohno talked to him. Still, he didn’t show his nervousness; that would be an advantage to Ohno.

“I don’t need your permission, Ohno-san. I told you before; I stayed because you were miserable. I stayed because you needed support. And you’re fine now-“

That was the limit.

He didn’t knew what drove him when he pulled the man towards him. His hand wrapped along Nino’s waist and despite the weak struggle Nino did to break free, he leaned in, crushing their lips together.

The kiss wasn’t an intimate one; it was harsh, carrying along frustration and anger as he did. He pushed the man towards the wall, pinning him in between while he deepen the kiss, wanting Nino to understand how every plan inside Nino’s head was hurting him.

It’s not enough, it chanted inside his head. Two months is not enough to convince Nino how he wanted the man. Wanted. Needed. He needed Nino more than he could tell. Yet after all of the effort he had done, why couldn’t Nino understand it? Why couldn’t Nino let him have his chance?

The kiss didn’t stop even when he pulled the man, literally pushed him to the long sofa before he climbed on top of the man. He kissed Nino again while his hand slipped under the man’s shirt, harassing the man’s body in every possible way.

Nino tried to push him away. He protested under the man’s kiss, but his word didn’t even manage to form coherent ones. This needed to stop, his mind screamed. Hence, he pushed the man away, as hard as his strength allow him. He succeeded, causing Ohno to fall on the floor, panting hard. He could see regret in the man’s face for once, but what he did was too much for him to feel sorry for the man.

“You never changed, don’t you?” Nino spit hatefully. “Still that same monster who used other people for his own pleasure.”

“I don’t understand.” Ohno mumbled, for once he refused to meet Nino’s eyes. But after a while he did. “I love you, Kazunari. I fucking love you! You know it. You did see it. And for what I know, that was what you have been hoping for. Why can’t you give me the chance that I’ve been begging you?”

Nino just rolled his eyes for Ohno didn’t make any sense.

"You're a jerk and you're not making any sense, Ohno-san," Nino said, throwing him a death glare.

He pulled himself up to a sitting position before standing up and then taking his bags as he readied to leave one again. But Ohno’s hand stopped him.

“Why can’t you love me again?” Ohno asked, desperate was shown in his tone.

Somehow, Nino chuckled.

“You told me you love her.”

“I do. I still do.”

“And she just died three months ago. And here you are, begging me to love you?-“

“She died. So what?” Ohno snapped, grabbing Nino by the arm only to be yanked off by the man later. “Do you expect me to mourn over my lost?”

“So it’s as easy as that? She’s gone and you can easily declare your love to someone else? You’re unbelievable!” Nino said, pushing Ohno away. Harsh.

“I love her. Of course. I do and still love her, Nino. But I need to move on-“

“Obviously not with me, you jerk! I’m not even sure you love me.”

Nino saw how Ohno’s eyes narrowed as he walked approaching him.

“Why not?” he asked. “Everyone deserves a second chance.”

“You’ve got yours that night you pushed me away, Ohno-san. You should have ran after me or at least apologized for the things that had happened between us. Yet you didn’t. For five years, I lived in misery, I refused to believe in love. And when I finally did, you ruined it. My life would have been better off with Jun if you never called me that night. You will always be the jerk who ruined my life and for that, I will never forgive you!”

Silence.

Nino’s words were piercing him, stabbing him deep into his heart. Nino was right, denying what the man said is useless when every single thing Nino said was right.

He studied the man who was staring at him with dissatisfaction plastered on his face. He could see the sorrow on the man’s face. It didn’t even lessen that all Ohno could see was nothing but sadness and giving up.

He wanted to say something in return, but he stopped. Something distracted him that he couldn’t help to frown. Slowly he walked towards the man, stopping only a few inches away from Nino. He reached out his hand, cupping Nino’s face with his thumb wiping away that liquid running down from Nino’s nose.

Blood.

Noticing his blood on Ohno’s finger, Nino quickly pushed him, running to the kitchen as he washed his face, in hope the blood would stop.

It didn’t stop though. Instead, the agonize pain took over his strength. His world felt like spinning, his limb was betraying him. His breathe hiccup, suffocating him when he heard the sound of the panic footstep, approaching him from behind, stepping a few steps away from him, hesitated.

“What have you been hiding from me, Nino?” Ohno asked, his lips quivered and his voice shaken. His instinct was telling him that something is definitely not right. Nino’s words from month ago replayed inside his head.

“Is this the reason why you told me that I shouldn’t fall in love with you?” Ohno asked Nino again. He could see how the man was gripping the sink hard, but he demanded an answer. Even when he knew what ever he’s going to hear next would only crush his hopes. “Is this the reason why you refused to give me another chance? ANSWER ME!”

Slowly, Nino turned towards him. Ohno could see the grimace on Nino’s face, perhaps from the sudden pain he felt. He rushed towards Nino, supporting the man from falling, but the man’s limb seems weakened. His legs no longer supported him to stand still.

Before he completely passed out, he gave the man the answer he was waiting for.

“I have leukaemia, Ohno-san.” Nino had said, his face showed his pain. Still, he chuckled. "This is my happy ending."

Soooo good!! I think after this Nino and Ohno deserve to be happy. He is sick and he needs the chance to live his time with Ohno. His punishnent for Ohno is that live happy for a shor time and lose Kazu.

Jun is a nice guy but he is not Nino's love. Nino needs to let the grudge go and love Ohno specially if he has a short time.
