Five – Maternity Dress and Scandal
It was that one morning, on my 20th week when I wake up with the sound of doorbell and people pounding to our front door .
I couldn’t help cursing at the one who caused all the noise. It’s fucking early for god sake and the thought that they might attract the neighbor’s attention doubled my annoyance.
I tried my best to move as fast as my body allowed me but before I could move from the bed, Oh-chan’s hand caught mine.
“Let them be,”
“Are you crazy? People might hear-“
“shhh,” he quiet me down. “At this hour, banging our door restlessly as if he could break the door, who do you think they are?”
I rolled my eyes.
“It’s obvious isn’t it? It’s them. And that is the reason why, Satoshi, you need to stop them before they break that fucking door!”
And all of sudden, everything stopped. The noise I mean. I would like to assume as they have gone but the next moment when Oh-chan’s cellphone on the table vibrates, I knew something will never be good. I was right, because the moment he answered the phone, even without loud speaker, Jun’s voice could be heard, yelling.
“for god sake, Ohno Satoshi. Open this fucking door right now or I’m gonna break it before I throw this fucking stupid tabloid on your face,”
Oh-chans’ eyes widen in horror hearing it. Jun was furious and I’m sure that man panicked too. Especially when he mentioned the word tabloid, I feel like my blood rushing down to my feet.
I’m gonna faint. Or die. Or...not.

The last time I met them, it was an awkward situation. Announcing my pregnancy before stormed out of the room, furious because of a misunderstanding. Again this time, another awkward situation. An awkward tensed situation because while everyone kept silent, but the glare they shoot at Oh-chan was a no joke.
‘Ohno Satoshi was married?’ was what written on the first page of the tabloid. Along with it was a picture of him, his hand wrapping the girl waist as they went out of the maternity clothes shop. I almost hit my own head reading the front page. I’m sure I’ll be doing one once I read the inside.
“so…” Jun began, his voice sounded cold. “who’s going to start?” he asked, directing his question to the other 3 members.
In the need to protest, I speak up.
“seriously guys, this is tabloid. And you believe in one?”
“it’s not about the tabloid, Nino. well maybe it is but look at the picture. While you alone in the house, see where that man has been? Flirting with another woman!”
I couldn’t help giggling while watching the diva kept rambling about the tabloid. But when Jun throw me that kind of ‘I’m-gonna-kill-you-if-you-keep laughing’ stare, I stopped, my hand covered my own mouth just to hide the giggly feeling I have now.
“I can’t believe that riida will do all this,” this time, it’s Aiba-chan. “I mean he looked so innocent, as if he wasn’t capable to cheat on anyone. And then this… I’m sure he’s not. And I’m sure you too Nino has hurt enough by his doing,”
“guys, seriously-“
“no, Nino. it’s ok. I know you love him so much. but with all the things he had done, I thing you should stop. We’re here for you. we will take care of you. don’t worry about him, just worry about your baby,”
“And now, you really need to stop because all of your words make me feel sick!” I snapped at them making the three of them to fell silent.
“we care about you, kazunari,” Jun said, sighing surrendering. “we just don’t want you to hurt. The baby might know about it,”
“and you should know that being away from him for almost a month and adding up two weeks while running away from him before already make me hurt. I won’t run away again this time, Jun. anything that will happen, I will fight for it,”
None of them speaks a words. For a moment of time, the room was filled with silent as everyone was waiting for someone to start again. Hence, I decided to do it.
“Let’s start with the tabloid then,” I said, scanning through the tabloid. My lips can’t help forming a smirk, trying so hard from laughing. Until Aiba-chan said something, I couldn’t helped it anymore.
“But the lady looked so much like Nino. Except she has a long hair. I mean look at the figure, exactly the same isn’t it?”
“That’s because I’m wearing a wig, you three idiots!”
“What?” the three echoed. I took a glance at my partner who was sitting beside me, looking bored as always. But at the same time, I could see how his lips were forming that victorious smile.
“My bump is getting visible, guys. I can’t go around with my pants and shirts. Hence I decided, as long as it is in the house, I need a maternity dress,”
“but why the wig though?” Jun-kun asked me in disbelieved. “I mean, you could just asked that old man to buy one for you,”
“J, for god sake. This man still asked his mother to buy his clothes for him you know. And you entrusted him to buy those clothes for me? I still have my standard you know,”
“well, that’s kinda make sense then. I could choose better one for you,” Jun-kun replied, earning a protest from the man beside me. I can’t help chuckling. Imagining myself in a flashy kind of clothes Jun-kun would buy for me, I shook my imagination away.
But once again, I decided to take the atmosphere back to serious.
“you don’t have to worry much about me, guys. I believe in him. I put my whole trust in him, you guys should too,”
They nodded as a response. Though I wasn’t really sure if they really did it because they have to or they really mean it.
“I guess our discussions end here, don’t you think?”
That was the moment, when Aiba rise up his hand, asking me a question that haunts me later. A lot.
“I just wondering, how on earth are you going to give birth to the baby, Nino? I mean you’re a man, can you handle it the way woman does?”
Everyone was throwing each other a curious look, though, I could see worries written all over Oh-chan’s face.

huaaahhh, sorry, i know i promised 2 chapter, but my life has been so busy nowadays. from family gathering and now work.

Thanks for updating. I would like to have a chapter dedicated to hormonal Nino. If I think about how Nino when from being bossy, bratty to sadistic to worry to puppy sad to happy to bratty again. Lol EPIC I would say!
What's more Ohchan and all other member esp Jun can't fault Nino, after he is pregnant.
