Summary : just for 3 simple reason of love, he just want to be the happiness of the man.

There’s one time when Sho thought he love to see Aiba smile.
It was when the man was admitted into the hospital. They’re just a few years debuted and while he having the thought of quitting as the whole business is too hard for him to cope, Aiba fell sick and being admitted for whatever his sickness is.
At first Sho thought it was nothing serious. He refused to think much about the man or whatever work he has to do as Aiba replacement. But when weeks turned to month, Sho started to get annoyed.
Classes and TV shows schedule doesn’t helped in anyway. It’s getting pack and hard for him to follow. Even harder than before and he really doesn’t need any extra job especially when the job wasn’t his.
Hence, when the other three was talking inside the greenroom, thinking to go to visit the man, Sho was the first one to agree. He couldn’t help thinking how Aiba was exaggerating his sickness, making everything to be handled by them. Yeah, he’s being selfish but while he felt guilty about it, he can’t help being one.
It was weekend when Sho finally went to the hospital, alone. The three had to do some other recording, making Sho to put some note inside his head to tell Aiba to come back soon. As soon as possible, just because it’s tough for him to deal with the tight schedule.
But whatever intention he had earlier before he entered the room gone the moment he saw Aiba on the bed, lying while watching out of the window, not noticing him coming in. that was when sho thought Aiba was dealing it hard enough too. Because he couldn’t see any happiness on the man’s face.
“Aiba-san…” Sho called out the man’s name, trying to get the man’s attention. He succeeds when Aiba turned to take a look at him, and that was the time he saw the man smile.
“How are you?”
“Just the way it is, Sho-chan. I went into the operation last few weeks; do you want to see it?” Aiba asked, trying to lift up his shirt. Sho refused to see it. Just because he felt guilty for having all the thoughts he had on the man.
“How is everyone?” the sick man asked, worried was heard in his voice. There’s something off when he looked at Aiba as he asked the question but he couldn’t figure out what.
“Busy as always. They’re having some recording today. So they couldn’t tagged along. But I’m sure they’re going to come to visit you soon,” Aiba nodded to his answer. A complete different answer than the one he draft earlier in his head
They went silent for a while. Deep inside, Sho was hoping if Aiba could break the silence they created because it seriously make him uncomfortable. Especially when all the bad thoughts he had on Aiba earlier kept playing inside his head, making him felt nothing but guilty on the man for whatever he has think of him.
But the moment Aiba opened his mouth to say something, it was nothing other than apologize, making Sho to feel even more guilty.
“I’m sorry, Sho-chan. I’m sure it’s getting tough for you guys now isn’t it?”
“well… we’re doing some recording now, and it will be a lie if I say it’s not tough. It is tough without you,” Sho said, holding soft of Aiba’s hand. “that’s why you need to return to us,”
“what if I can’t? what if the jimusho asked me to quit? I’m not even sure if I can dance or sing after what had happened,” Aiba said.
“I don’t think so. Works was already tough without you now Aiba-chan. If they do that, it’s the end of Arashi,”
Sho sure that his words failed to convince the man when Aiba didn’t replied him. instead he looks outside the windows and once again, and the room fell silent.
Sho wondered what he felt off when he look at Aiba. The sadness on Aiba’s face definitely has something to do with it. the eyes lost it sparks and he could feel sadness along with it. and that’s when Sho notice it; the one he felt off was Aiba’s not smiling.
“Would you like to stay?” Sho asked the man, being the one to break the silent this time. “In Arashi, I mean,”
“I do want to stay, but with my condition now, won’t I be a burden to you guys?” Aiba shot a question back to the man.
“The only burden now is happening because you’re not around Aiba-san. I’m not going to repeat this again because it’s only going to make you sad. But trust me, in this kind of condition, no one will want you to quit. In fact, we’re waiting for you to come back,”
Sho pats the man shoulder.
“So please, try harder,” he continued. The frown on Aiba’s face never eased though, but the man nodded. Sho didn’t know if his words manage to convince Aiba on how important for him to stay as an Arashi member. But Sho knew how much Aiba needs some support from the member. Being in this condition makes the man to feel unconfident enough of the future and Sho understand how much mess up his thoughts could be. He was in the same condition before, and heck, it’s confusing.
But seeing Aiba like this, make him think of how irresponsible, how half-hearted for him to leave something just for a silly reason while Aiba who wanted to stay but think he couldn’t because of his sickness. This is the moment when Sho decided he should stay, no matter what will happen.
Nothing left the two mouths afterwards. Sho check his watch, noticing that he might be late for his next meeting, he took his leave there.
But before he could leave the room, Aiba called him.
“Sho-chan,” Sho turned, looking at Aiba who’s looking at him with this indescribable expression. “thank you,”
Sho nodded.
“we’ll be waiting,” Aiba nodded. His smile, though it looks so weak, looks so bright to Sho. And that was the moment when Sho promised that he will be the one to cause most of Aiba to smile.

It was that moment when they’re just finished with the 24 hour TV program, and Aiba was crying reading the letter. The man couldn’t even stop crying even before they sang their final song for the night and that was when sho think he has failed to make Aiba smile.
The conversation they used to have before replayed in his mind make Sho to ask himself if he had been too harsh before, making Aiba to think that he was a burden to the other member. Watching Aiba crying reading the letter, crying even more when he had finish reading the letter, or before they started the performance make sho couldn’t hold himself from hugging the man. He wanted to hug Aiba, calm him down and make him smile again. And he did. Aiba did smile, just to control his emotion from breaking again.
But the moment when the camera stop rolling, Aiba smile was gone, replace by the sad face of him. Nino jokes, snarky comment didn’t manage to make the man to smile or laugh. he choose to sat at one corner, alone, eyes closed just to send this silent messages towards the other member to leave him alone, to not mind him for a while.
The other members get the message hence they decided to give the man some space for himself. But not for Sho. Of course he understood how Aiba want to be alone at the moment but Aiba sad face feels like torturing him and he seriously hates it. the letter was telling them in a hint of how much Aiba felt guilty towards the member about his absence before, doing all the job without him. Somehow Sho felt like half of the sadness Aiba felt right now was because of him too.
It just left the two of them now, waiting for their manager to drive them home. The man was sitting at the sofa now, alone, leaning his head on the sofa, his eyes closed. Slowly, Sho approached the man, sitting next to him before he said something.
“If you need a shoulder to lean, you can have mine. It’s sloppy though but I think it’s much comfortable,” Sho said, making the man to open his eyes, turning to look at Sho. Aiba chuckled, before he took the offer. He leaned his head onto Sho’s shoulder, once again closing his eyes.
“thank you ne, Sho-chan,” Aiba said, not even bother to open his eyes. Indeed, it felt much comfortable.
“huh? Why?” Sho asked frowning.
“For being here. Well I’m thankful to the others for taking me in too,”
“you’re over thinking, Aiba-chan,” he said. “it’s not good for your health,”
This time, Aiba laughed. That hyena-like of laughs sounds noisy to some other people ears. Sho sure enough if Nino was here with them, the man will say something like “goodness, your laughed sounds irritating” or anything that goes with that line. But to Sho, hearing Aiba to laughed make him calm, which to him was something unexpected.
That was the moment when he realized aside of Aiba’s smile, he loves Aiba to laugh too. But at the moment, he was wondering if he could be the reason to Aiba’s laugh as well.
“Will you do me a favor, Aiba-chan?”
The asked man raising a curious eyebrow.
“keep on smiling will you? And if possible, please laugh a lot,”
“People might think I’m crazy if I keep laughing So-chan. are you sure that’s a right request to be made?” Aiba asked, slightly giggles. Sho somehow grin.
“I’m sure people will love to see you do those things,” Sho reasoned. Aiba smirked.
“What makes you so sure?”
“I don’t know. I just feel like it,”
“why was it, I wonder?” Aiba asked another question.
“I don’t know. Maybe because I like it when you smile and laughs?”
Silent. Awkward.
But only for a while. It’s a moment later, Aiba started to laugh his usual laughs.
“so funny, Sho-chan,”
And Sho keep the laughed playing inside his head.

There’s one time when Sho thought he love Aiba.
It was that time when a rumor surface about Aiba and an actress. Words like going out, holding hand, marriage printed all over the tabloid and all of sudden, he felt one heavy feeling inside his heart make him wonder why was it feel so hurt reading all the news.
They’re nothing to begin with but why are hurt and jealousy controls him that he felt like throwing out the tabloid away out of the room?
Aiba walked into the greenroom, acting all neutral as if nothing was happening. The jimusho was in uproar but with Johnny-san power, they manage to stop the tabloid from spreading or writing anymore about it. But Aiba not saying anything about it, makes it hard for him handle the day. And he felt so hurt about it.
That was the time when Sho after having so many thought and thinking maybe more than 10 times, went to consult with Nino. It begins with subtle topic, but Nino was known to be the one who’re good to read the atmosphere. He knows it well, even without sho have to directly tell him about it.
“How did you deal with your feeling, when that rumour about Ohno was out last time?” Nino smile hearing the question. Putting the can of beer in front of the newscaster, Nino took his seat opposite of the man, observing his band mate face.
“It’s hurt of course. Watching someone you love with those kinds of stories. But still, it’s a matter of trust, and love too. Those kind of thing shouldn’t be one real problem if we really love each other. Because loving each other is what matters,” Nino said, taking a sip from his can.
“But Sho-chan, I don’t think you come to me only to talk to me about Oh-chan scandal a year ago, right?”
Sho frown. Indeed, Nino last statement was true. That wasn’t his reason to meet the man. But he still trying to find one right word to begin with.
“why is it feel so hurt? reading all the rumors about aiba chan makes me feel sad and frustrated. We have nothing to begin with but why is it so hurt reading that Nino?”
Nino chuckled.
“I don’t think you’re going to accept what I’m going to tell you easily, Sho chan,” nino said, putting both of his hand on the table, folding it as he continued. “I think you have fall in love with Aiba chan,”
Sho’s mouth hangs opened. But nino doesn’t wait for him to speak. Instead, he continues.
“what else could be explain? Why would you be hurt if you’re not in love with him. if you didn’t love him, you have no right to feel sad about it, right?”
Sho doesn’t have any word to protest. He fell silent, taking this as an advantage, Nino continued.
“Trust me. love doesn’t come all of sudden sho-chan. it will always come in sequence. Some begins it with friendship, some just fall in love at the first sight. Some might love someone step by step. You hate to see him sad, you love to see him smile, you love to see him laugh. and in the end, you just want to be the reason to his happiness. And Sho-chan, I’m not blind to not see how hard you tried to be one of Aiba-chan happiness. You have fall in love with him. But maybe you’re too fool to realized it,” Nino said before they fell silent.
Maybe, what nino was saying was true. Maybe he has fall in love with a man name Aiba Masaki. But it’s not that he’s a fool, but maybe he was just confused.
It took Sho another 30 minutes in Nino’s house, silent moment of thinking before he excuse himself, ‘I have an early schedule tomorrow,’ is what he used as an excuse. But he’s not heading home. Instead, 30 minutes later, he was there, standing in front of Aiba’s apartment, ringing the bell once and feeling extremely happy to see Aiba when the latter open the door.
Forming his usual bright smile that never fails to make Sho felt so happy whenever he see it, Aiba asked.
“Are you here because you want to cheer me up for the things happened today?”
Sho shook his head. The smile on Aiba’s face faded, replaced by a deep frown on his forhead.
Sho sure if an ECG machine was connected to his body, it will show a vigorous graph of his heartbeat as he uttered his words.
“I’m here not to cheer you up,” he paused, biting his lips only to see the frown on Aiba’s forehead deepen. Taking one deep breath, he continued. “I’m here to tell you that I love you,”
There was an indescribable expression on Aiba’s face, but one thing that Sho sure is, it wasn’t a rejection.
“I know this is too sudden but i went to Nino’s just now. We talk and i guess he put me a lot of sense and of course i do take my time to think to say all of this thing to you. I tried to find if there is anything I hate about you, but I couldn’t find any. And I guess, Nino is right, I do want to be your happiness. So… could you accept me into your life?”
Aiba lowered his head. For a while, sho was panic, thinking of the possibilities of being rejected. But then, Aiba’s eyes met his. Sho could see the man’s cheek blushed red as he replied his confession.
“I love you too, Sho-chan,” the man said. “you already be my happiness since long time ago,”
It took a moment of staring, smiling like an idiot at each other before Sho take a few step into the house, closing the door behind him before he pulled Aiba towards him, kissing him on the lips.

There’s one time when Sho sure he loves Aiba.
They’re in Hawaii, surrounded by the other three Arashi members, and their families. Gathered around at the beach, with such a simple decoration, he took Aiba’s hand into his.
He barely heard the priest words earlier. The live was just ended few days ago, and 48 hours before when Sho thought, telling Aiba he loves the man, proposing Aiba properly, kneeling while showing him the ring before they finally decided, this is the time to make it official for the two of them.
Aiba laughed at first, ‘you’re serious?’ was a repeating question along with his laugh. Until sho nodded, refuse to stand up, the laugh stopped, replace by a smile and tears of happiness. In a very short time, Aiba was doing two things that he loves most from them man; laughs and smile.
Sho doesn’t need a word as a reply. When Aiba kneel, Sho wiped away the tears on the man’s face, before Aiba leaned in, and they kiss. When they depart, the engagement ring was on Aiba’s fingers. They kissed again and sho sure enough he’s found the right man for his love.
The moment he said ‘I do’, Aiba was smiling so beautifully, and the moment he kissed the man, he felt so happy. They’ve promised for eternity and once again, in his life, Sho promised to be the one who will brings happiness towards the man. Forever. No matter what happen. Even in the afterlife.

Maybe, what nino was saying was true. Maybe he has fall in love with a man name Aiba Masaki. But it’s not that he’s a fool, but maybe he was just confused.
It took Sho another 30 minutes in Nino’s house, silent moment of thinking before he excuse himself, ‘I have an early schedule tomorrow,’ is what he used as an excuse. But he’s not heading home. Instead, 30 minutes later, he was there, standing in front of Aiba’s apartment, ringing the bell once and feeling extremely happy to see Aiba when the latter open the door.
Forming his usual bright smile that never fails to make Sho felt so happy whenever he see it, Aiba asked.
“Are you here because you want to cheer me up for the things happened today?”
Sho shook his head. The smile on Aiba’s face faded, replaced by a deep frown on his forhead.
Sho sure if an ECG machine was connected to his body, it will show a vigorous graph of his heartbeat as he uttered his words.
“I’m here not to cheer you up,” he paused, biting his lips only to see the frown on Aiba’s forehead deepen. Taking one deep breath, he continued. “I’m here to tell you that I love you,”
There was an indescribable expression on Aiba’s face, but one thing that Sho sure is, it wasn’t a rejection.
“I know this is too sudden but i went to Nino’s just now. We talk and i guess he put me a lot of sense and of course i do take my time to think to say all of this thing to you. I tried to find if there is anything I hate about you, but I couldn’t find any. And I guess, Nino is right, I do want to be your happiness. So… could you accept me into your life?”
Aiba lowered his head. For a while, sho was panic, thinking of the possibilities of being rejected. But then, Aiba’s eyes met his. Sho could see the man’s cheek blushed red as he replied his confession.
“I love you too, Sho-chan,” the man said. “you already be my happiness since long time ago,”
It took a moment of staring, smiling like an idiot at each other before Sho take a few step into the house, closing the door behind him before he pulled Aiba towards him, kissing him on the lips.

There’s one time when Sho sure he loves Aiba.
They’re in Hawaii, surrounded by the other three Arashi members, and their families. Gathered around at the beach, with such a simple decoration, he took Aiba’s hand into his.
He barely heard the priest words earlier. The live was just ended few days ago, and 48 hours before when Sho thought, telling Aiba he loves the man, proposing Aiba properly, kneeling while showing him the ring before they finally decided, this is the time to make it official for the two of them.
Aiba laughed at first, ‘you’re serious?’ was a repeating question along with his laugh. Until sho nodded, refuse to stand up, the laugh stopped, replace by a smile and tears of happiness. In a very short time, Aiba was doing two things that he loves most from them man; laughs and smile.
Sho doesn’t need a word as a reply. When Aiba kneel, Sho wiped away the tears on the man’s face, before Aiba leaned in, and they kiss. When they depart, the engagement ring was on Aiba’s fingers. They kissed again and sho sure enough he’s found the right man for his love.
The moment he said ‘I do’, Aiba was smiling so beautifully, and the moment he kissed the man, he felt so happy. They’ve promised for eternity and once again, in his life, Sho promised to be the one who will brings happiness towards the man. Forever. No matter what happen. Even in the afterlife.
