[DRABBLE] Until we meet again - ninoXoc

Until we meet again
No one loves goodbye. So does she. So does he.
Hence when it was the time for them to depart, Nino couldn’t let her go, and her feet doesn’t want to move. But she needed too. Even though how painful it will be, how much hurt, loneliness they would feel afterwards. She needed to go. This isn’t her place, and she never thought if it will ever be one.
She was keep in his embrace, a tight one as if he was saying to her ‘don’t go’. All of sudden, even though she hasn’t leave, the emptiness was feel inside their heart.
The final announcement was heard, calling for all the passenger to board the plane. She breathe in, the air, his scent. Maybe this is the last time she will ever breathe his scent. Only god knows if they’ll ever meet again.
“it’s time,” she said, her voice shaking. But Nino doesn’t show any sign of letting her go yet. Instead, he hug her even tighter, whisper his words to her ears.
“I know,” he said, kissing her head once. “but I don’t want to end it with you,”
Slowly, she let her go. He could see tears at the corner of her eyes. He wipes it away. “this is not a goodbye,”
“it is,” Dini said, lowering his head. slowly, he pulled her chin so that her eyes met his.
“maybe it is… but I want you to bear these words in your head, Dini,” he lean in, dropping one loving tender kiss on her forehead. “you’re going to be the one who I’m going to marry with. This is what I promised you. hence, this is not a goodbye,”
He chuckled when he saw her blushed, trying to hide her smile by lowering her head again.
“silly,” Dini said, punching him on his chest lightly. This time, Nino laughed.
“I am. Silly one for falling in love with you only to part from you,”
Once again, they fell silent.
“won’t you regret it?” Nino rise a questioning eyebrows. “about you and Ohno-san…”
“it has ended. Why should I regret it when I already have someone who love me instead of him who has took me for granted?”
“but he still wanted you,”
Nino hold her face, staring directly into her eyes.
“but I want you,” he said making the girl in front her to blush again.
But that was just for a moment, before she was brought back to the reality again. whatever it is, they still have to part now. while part of her wanting to believe to the man’s words, another part of her was doubting it. but she couldn’t bring herself to say it aloud. Instead, she stared directly at the man, burying the image of Nino’s face in his mind.
“we’re going to meet again, Dini. You don’t have to stare at me that way,”
“Are you sure?”
Dini saw nino smirking. Knowing Nino this past one month make her understand much that the man was up to something. But before she could think, she felt warmth on her face; Nino’s breath on her cheeks while her lips meeting his. Her face reddened by the sudden act and when they depart, Dini couldn’t help showing him an embarrassed face.
He laughed.
“did that seal my promise?” Nino asked taking her hand into his. This time, Dini smirks.
“until you meet me again, I won’t be so sure of it,”
Nino laughed.
“then what about this?” he pulled out a box from his pocket, opened it to reveal something else.
“a diamond?”
Nino nodded.
“by the next time we meet, it’ll come with a ring as well. and my family,”
Dini laughed again.
“you really serious, aren’t you?”
“I do,” again, he leaned in, kissing her passionately on her lips. one final kiss before they part.
“now go,” he said, still hesitating to let her go. He put his forehead on hers, admiring her face before she leave. “we will meet again. I promise you that,”
Dini smiles. Slowly she make her way to the departure hall. It’s hard though. Her eyes were already teary and he could see nino was the same. She saw he waves at her, and she waves back, before she turned heading to the gate. By the time she passed there, she couldn’t hold back her tears anymore.
But all of sudden, her phone vibrated in her pocket. She pulled it out to see a ‘one message received on the screen.
“thank you for being there during the time I need you. I know I didn’t really say it before, but…
I love you,”
Somehow, that manage to make her laughs. Indeed, this is goodbye. But somehow she know, she will meet the man again. she sure of it.
