The only sound inside the room is the sound of the clock ticking. Time is moving. And by the end of the day, Aiba knows the decisions will be made.
The woman in front of her has sighed countless times that day. Aiba knows, if it was Johnny-san infront the two of them now, he’ll do the same. It’s not a small decision indeed. It’s one big decision to make, when it involves them, the biggest money maker of Johnny’s entertainment.
Aiba takes another glance toward the tabloid newspaper lays open on the table. An image of him kissing a guy which is unknown according to the tabloid, cause uproar in the office. Yes. He was involve in a scandal and the peoples has started making rumors, speculating that they guy he kissed was Sakurai Sho, his bandmate.
It’s the truth. But the company denies it. They deny the Sho part but not his. Hence here they are, with the other 7 managers of Arashi inside the room. So does the other four members with Sho standing next to him.
“Someone has to quit,” Julie starts to speak. Aiba bites his lips. He should have guessed. “I’m sorry, Aiba-san,”
Aiba nods. It’s the only thing he can do.
And of course, it will be him to be quit. He’s not that worth. He doesn’t bring any benefits to the company. He’s not as talented as Nino, who can act well or even write a song. He’s not a creative one like Jun, who puts his ideas for an amazing concert. He’s not like riida, where the company can get even more profit by organizing him another exhibitions for his arts. And Sho, someone he loves so dearly, successful. While he, he has nothing.
“otsukaresama deshita,” he says, bowing a little before walk towards the office door.
“you’ll receive your…” Aiba cuts her before she can finish her words.
“keep it. I don’t need it. save it for Arashi next single budget,” and then he walks out.
Frustrated. The promise he made between the five of them, he never be able to fulfill it. everything happens by his very own fault.
Before he could leave the building to his car, Jun pulls him to face him before throw him a punch.
“how could you!” he yells toward the tallest member. “After all of this promise we made…”
“I’m the stupid one, Matsumoto. You said that so. And because of that stupidity, I’m sorry for ruining that promise,”
“You can at least beg! Quitting the group, what do you think? How are we going to make through this” Jun asks him. Behind the man, he could see the other three rushes towards them, Sho looks a little hesitates though. it makes him annoyed.
“I refuse to be a beggar. Good luck to all of you,” Aiba replies as he wipes the blood that flows at the corner of his lips. He looks at Sho one last time before he turn to walk away.
The memories he had that night replays in his mind.
“I love you,” he says before he kissed the newscaster.
For the first time in his life, he confesses to a man. To his bandmates. The one he fall in love with. Aiba swear how the kiss was passionate with both of them sucking each other lips and tongue, before Sho pushed him away, confuse on his face.
“I… I don’t need you answer now. I’ll give you some-“ Aiba didn’t finished his words when sho cuts him.
“it’s a mistake. I can never see you in that kind of way. I will never…I’m sorry,”
