Summary: Losing their child in an accident, Nino started to distance himself from Ohno in which Ohno never knows why.

“so what now? you’re going to fuck one random girl just so you can have a child?” Nino snapped at him that night when he told him about the idea.
“Not me. us, Kazu, us”
“You’re gross!” Ohno frown, slap his head as he realized what Nino has interpreted his word as.
“Gosh! It’s not what I mean. We won’t go threesome just to have a child, Kazu. What I mean is so that we can have a chile. Our child. Not my child alone,”
Nino chuckled.
“I’m not fond of the idea of having child, Satoshi. You know how busy we are? And don’t you think of the future? What if he or she being bullied because of the fact that he or she doesn’t has a mother but two fathers instead?”
Ohno fell silent.
“Then, we’ll support them for who they are,”
For a while, the two of them fell silent. Ohno shift his body, closing their distance before pat Nino’s head onto his shoulder.
“I know you think a lot. And I can’t deny the logic too. But, don’t you feel lonely living in this big house by the two of us?”
Nino shook his head, pouting.
“As long as I have you, I won’t,”
“But, I believe if I have a child with you, you’ll stay by my side forever. No matter what happened between us, he’ll be there as our bond. Completing what we have between us,”
Nino chuckled. He snuggled close towards the older man, breathing his scent. The one which always calm him.
“You and your logic, Oh-chan, will never failed to amuse me,” he said, earning a chuckled from the older man. “Have you decided the hospital?”
Ohno nodded. “you agreed?”
Again, Nino chuckled.
“you don’t planned every day. Now you do, I guess I’ll give it a chance,”
Ohno still remembered how the kiss after that was passionate than before, how their love everyday sparks even more, and Nino beautiful smile when he first took the baby into his embrace, naming their child as Shinichi Ohno-Ninomiya.
“I don’t know what to do anymore, Sho-kun. He just… quiet. The bright, brat Ninomiya that I used to love wasn’t there anymore. He just keeps himself to his own world and he won’t let me enter it,” he said, taking a sip from his glass as he pours all his thought to his bestfriend.
It disappoints him watching Nino from the day their son died. Ohno understand that Nino was upset by the fact that they just lost their son, but he couldn’t get it why do Nino act cold to him all the time. Every day, he will come back from work, greet by the sight of Nino playing his game ignoring his presence. Not even a greet of ‘okaeri’ like always. And he refuse to sleep in one room with Ohno anymore, makes Ohno believed there’s indeed something wrong that makes Nino mad at him, but he couldn’t get it why.
“Maybe he’s too shock about it, Oh-chan. things happened all of sudden, and of course some people couldn’t get over it. And in this case, Nino was one of them. He couldn’t accept what happened around him now, and maybe he was trying to forget,”
Ohno nods.
“Never leave him Ohno-san. Support him. I guess, for now, that’s all he need,” Sho said before they depart that night and Ohno walks home in mess.
It hurts him. It has been so long since he talks to Nino and he miss him. so much that it makes his life miserable. He miss Nino smiles, Nino teases him, everything about nino. He miss it. but Nino just put some barrier that stops everything between them.
And to watch Nino with his own world, Ohno feels that his world shattered to pieces. Nino is his life. by this state, watching Nino to hurt alone, crumble his world too.
Ohno barely remember the last time he spend his time with Shin. He was too busy with his works, letting Nino to deal with Shin every day. If that was the reason for it, Ohno knows he deserve all the cold treatment from Nino.
But he swear, he loves their son. A lot. Only god knows how hard for him to received the news about the accident. Or when he was called to identify he son. He was wishing for god to take his life instead. But he couldn’t turn back the time. he need to move forward, and in order for him to do that, Nino needs to do the same.
The house was pitch dark the moment he enter it that night. and Nino was nowhere to be seen in the living room. throwing all his bad thought aside, he makes his way to their bedroom to see no one there before he notice the door to their late son bedroom was opened. Slowly he make his way there, peek in to see Nino sleeping on their son’s bed.
Cautiously to make a sound, he approached the man, took his seat on the floor near the bed observing the man sleeping face. God, he miss Nino. So much. he even wonder if God was bored of hearing him pray for Nino to open up to him again. maybe he failed on giving their son a pinch of happiness until his last day, but Nino is alive. He wants him to be happy again.
And there he saw the sleeping man was hugging a picture frame. Ohno could see a trail of tears on Nino’s cheek as he was caressing the man but Nino doesn’t show any sign of waking up. Having no intention on waking up the man, he pulled the frame from Nino’s hand, to see a picture they took few years ago. first day when they sent Shin to the kindergarten.
Ohno remembered how happy they were that time, acting all giddy to send their son to the school. He was actually that makes Nino to ask him to behave.
“God, you’re acting like a child! We should send papa to school instead, ne Shin,” their son giggled when they saw Ohno pouted.
“But papa will be too old. No one wanna make friend with old people,”
Again Ohno pouted.
“Seriously Satoshi. Stop embarrassing our child!” here Ohno stick out his tongue. For a while, he keeps grinning as they walk to the gate.
“What’s wrong with you old man?” Nino asks, both him and Shin looks at him.
“Your daddy said our child. I can’t help feeling happy,” he said, earning him a soft hit on his head. Ohno laughs when he saw Nino blushed.
“Shin is happy to have you two as my papa and daddy too,” their son said after a while of silent, making the two to stop walking, smiling at each other before hugs their child, sending him off to the school.
A drop of tears falls on the picture. God, he misses their child. He misses their happy family.
“I’m happy to have you as my son too, Shin. And I miss your daddy too,” he muttered as tears keeps flowing.
He has lost their child. But he doesn’t want to lose his lover as well.
God, please help me. I don’t know what to do…
